Cuban Adventures Part 1

As the new year starts, I wanted to take the time to wrap up my thoughts from our 2 day Cuban adventure. We visited the city of Havana and had the absolute best time. The city is such an interesting place, the people are excited to talk to you and the history is incredibly rich! Take a peek at some of the things we did in Havana below.

In our typical fashion of cramming as much into our vacations as possible, we did so much on this trip that I am going to split it up into two posts. Take a peek at some of the things we did in Havana on our first day below.

Rome Round Up

Well the time has finally come to share my Rome travels! For our honeymoon, J and I took a 12 day Mediterranean cruise through Royal Caribbean. And let me tell you, BEST DECISION EVER! We went to 5 countries (6 if you count the Vatican, which I do!) in 12 days. I like to tell people that our cruise was like an appetizer sampler platter. We got to see so many things in a short amount of time and it gave us a taste of each city and now we know where we want to go back and visit for more than 12 hours!

When we booked our cruise we wanted to be able to go on the “official” excursions, but still have exploring time of our own. We were lucky to find an excursion that would get us into Rome and take us from one major attraction to another attraction. Here is what we were able to see in less than 12 hours!

Guest Bedroom Woes

Am I the only person with a room in their house that they barely ever go in and is half decorated which makes you go in it even less? No? Just me? Okay then…

The spare bedroom in my house was pretty meh. When J and I moved into the house, our bed and dresser from our apartment went into the spare room. I registered for a duvet comforter to jazz up the room a little bit and haphazardly threw a few things on a wall so it wasn’t totally bare when we had guests over.

FINALLY… a complete bathroom!

Well our bathroom is finally complete! Even though it took us only a week to install the new floors, toilet and vanity, it took an additional four months to paint…. Don’t ask me how that happened, even I, Queen of Procrastination, am fuzzy on the details!
